Hyderabad, Sep 12 (UNI) The toll in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus accident in Jagtial district on Tuesday has risen to 59 .

An injured woman passenger died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jagtial district taking the toll to 59.

In the worst-ever road accident, 59 people including 39 women and five children were killed and more than 40 injured when the TSRTC bus in which they were travelling lost control and fell into a 20 feet deep valley on the Kondagattu ghat road.

The overcrowded bus was carrying 101 passengers as against its capacity of 59.

The ill-fated bus was on its way from Shanivarampet village to Jagtial town when the accident had occurred,
Most of the victims were pilgrims visiting Kondagattu temple and natives of Shanivarampet.
Leaders of political parties of various hues made a beeline to Jagtial to offer their condolences to the members of bereaved families.
