Tolerance see declining trends: Fali Nariman

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) There has been a substantial decline in the levels of 'tolerance' in the country and efforts should be channelised to uphold it also, so that 'fraternity' feelings as underlined in the Constitution be maintained at all levels, noted jurist Fali S Nariman said here today.
Delivering a lecture on the 'Preamble of the Constitution' organised by the Lok Sabha's Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training (BPST), he said "Tolerance in all walks of life has come to a very low level and perhaps the country could have done better by maintaining and upholding tolerance among all sections of the people".
The word 'fraternity' in the Preamble is very important and all efforts must be made to ensure that fraternity feelings prevailed in the society.
