TNCA condoles Arun Jaitley's death

Chennai, Aug 24 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association

(TNCA) today condoled the death of former Union Minister

Arun Jaitley.

In a message, TNCA Joint Secretary R I Palani said the

TNCA deeply condoles the sad demise of Mr Arun Jaitley.

He was a recipient of several awards, distinctions and

outstanding performances both in academics and extra

curricular activities starting from his student days.

He earlier held positions as Defence Minister, Corporate

Affairs, Commerce and Industry, Law and Justice, he said.

In his distinguished career as politician, lawyer, writer

and author, he has served as Leader of the Opposition,

Additional Solicitor General and senior advocate of the

Supreme Court among many.

An ardent sports lover he has served as the President

of the Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA), Vice

President of BCCI and as Governing Council Member

of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

A thorough gentleman, a trusted friend and well wisher

of TNCA, the members and cricket fraternity of TNCA

send their deepest sympathies and condolence to the

family members of the departed soul.

'May God give his family the strength to bear this terrible

loss', Palani said.
