TN: Youth shoots minor girl with air gun, attempts suicide by consuming poison

Dindigul (Tamil Nadu), Sep 8 (UNI) In a shocking incident, a jilted lover shot a minor girl with an air gun after a quarrel, then attempted suicide by consuming rat poison at Thuvarapathi village under Natham police limits in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
Police said V.Selvam (19) a resident of Vellaimalaipatti village was in love with the girl, hailing from neighbouring Thuvarapathi village.
He met the girl after attending a function and both of them had a heated argument over some unknown issues.
