Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jun 23 2016 6:14PM TN govt relaxes norms for private power producersChennai, June 23 (UNI) Asserting that Tamil Nadu had received 8432.5 MW of additional power from various sources that ensured that the state remained free from power cuts since June last year, Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today said the condition that the power produced by the private players should be sold only to the Tamil Nadu government was relaxed from June one this year. Replying to the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor for his address in the State Assembly, she said through short and long term agreements and from central pool, the state had received 8,432.5 MW of power from various sources, including solar, during the last five years.
