Chennai, Jan 25 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit
greeted the people of the State on the eve of 70th Republic Day.
In his message, he said 'I extend my heartiest greetings and
best wishes to the people of Tamil Nadu on the joyous occasion
of the 70th anniversary of the Republic Day.'
'The Republic Day was a day of formal observance by the Nation
when, we recall to ourselves the supreme contribution of our
freedom fighters and law makers who gave us our Constitution',
he said, according to a Raj Bhavan communique.
'Let us make a resolve on this Republic Day to contribute all
our might for the sake of the nation. May the spirit of our
Constitution fill the air and devotion to the nation be the life
breath that sustains and inspires us', Mr Purohit said.
