TN CM assures to bring draft in Assembly for a permanent law on Jallikattu

Madurai, Jan 22 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O.Paneerselvam today said “the government will bring the draft for a permanent law on Jallikattu in the Assembly tomorrow.”
Talking to newsmen here, the Chief Minister said the ordinance promulgated yesterday is the permanent solution for holding Jallikattu. I met Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi at New Delhi and sought his assistance to lift the ban. Based on the Prime Minister’s assurance, the ordinance was promulgated. The Centre has supported all the steps taken by the state government on Jallikattu issue.
By promulgating the ordinance, the Jallikattu ban has been lifted in the state. Jallikattu was held across the state today. It is being organised well and enough security was made for the events, he said.
