TMC party office blown away by explosion in Birbhum

Seuri, Sep 10 (UNI) The regional party office of West Bengal ruling Trinamool Congress at Kankortalla under Birbhum district was today blown away by a huge explosion, though there had been no report of any casualty, police investigating the cause of explosion said.

The single story brick-built TMC party office at an isolated area of Borwa village under Kankortalla was virtually blown off when the explosion happened at around 1030 hours local villagers told police.

There had been no casualty in the explosion as the party office was empty and was closed for many days.

Police said they were investigating either the explosives were stoned inside the office and bombs were thrown from outside.

The roof of the single story brick-built office was caved in and cracked appeared in three walls and a potion was flattened.

The iron gate was blown away to nearly 30 ft away under the impact of the explosion.
