TMC describes stadium chaos as regrettable, points to BJP for 'provocation'

Kolkata, Dec 13 (UNI) West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress on Saturday described the Salt Lake Stadium chaos during Lionel Messi's mega show as deeply regrettable owing to mismanagement by the private organisers and also blamed BJP-backed elements carrying saffron flags for raising "provocative" slogans.
The party in a statement said the incident that unfolded in the stadium today was deeply regrettable and must never be allowed to happen again.
"The unfortunate incident witnessed was the result of serious mismanagement by the private organisers of the event as the state government’s role is limited to granting statutory permission for such events," it continued.
