Time is money, says EC prez on EU budget

Brussels, Feb 24 (UNI) On the European Union (EU) budget, European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker has said that time was money -- underlining that delays in agreeing the EU budget would cost 5000 research jobs for every single month that we do not agree and up to 600,000 Erasmus places in 2021 alone.
According to a press release, he said this at an EU leaders' informal discussion on institutional issues.
Participating at the informal meeting of the 27 EU Heads of State or Government on Friday which, as part of the Leaders' Agenda, held an informal discussion on institutional issues, including the composition of the European Parliament after the UK leaves the EU and the nomination of the President of the European Commission.
