Superintendent of police (North) Ravi Kumar told a press conference here today,that French president Francois Hollande is visiting India in a couple of days.Since,terrorists had unleashed an attack in France and with the fresh threat to Mr.Hollande,the union governemtn had instructed to adopt tight security ,following which security has been strengthened here. Mr.Ravikumar said,all vehicles entering Puducherry is being checked and all hotels and other lodging places for strangers .Puducherry police have already started the security measures and 200 police personnel are doing the same.In junctions where much people would gather,surveillance camera s are being errected and the situation being monitored.On the Replublic Day,as many as 600 police personnel would be deployed for security duty,he added.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Tight security for Republic Day in Pondy
