Tiger Estimation 2026 to begin from December 15

Daltengonj, Dec 10 ( UNI ) Tiger Estimation 2026 will commence across Jharkhand from December 15, with a comprehensive survey to record the presence of tigers, other wildlife species, and forest conditions.
The first phase of the statewide campaign will run until December 22, while the fourth and final phase will continue until April 2026.
For the first time, the exercise will cover all forest divisions of the state. Palamu Tiger Reserve’s Chief Wildlife Warden and Field Director, S.R. Natesh, has been appointed as the nodal officer for the initiative.
