Thunderstorm, lightning, gusty winds likely in parts of Telangana over next 24 hours: Met

Hyderabad, July 18 (UNI) Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 30-50 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana during the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Saturday.
In its daily weather report, the Centre said strong surface winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph are also likely to prevail at isolated places across Telangana from July 19 to 24.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places and at isolated locations across the state during the next seven days.

Vijayawada, Aug 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for MSME, Rural Poverty Alleviation Minister Kopndapalli Srinivas has said that the government has taken a key decision to link the Prime Minister's Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme with the Sthreenidhi Credit Cooperative Federation Limited to promote food processing industries in rural areas.

AP CM flags of 58 newly inducted fire fighting vehicles

Vijayawada, Aug 14 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu flagged off 58 newly inducted fire fighting vehicles on Friday on the Seed Access road. The fire tenders were purchased at a cost of Rs 40 crore.
The officials said that 25 advanced fire tenders worth Rs 18.68 crore had been made available to help in emergency situations in rural and forest areas to quickly reach disaster sites and provide immediate firefighting services.
