Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Jan 10 2016 7:39PM Thrissur youth enters Guinness for playing flute nonstopThrissur, Jan 10 (UNI) A 48-year-old artiste from this city in Kerala today created a Guinness World record for the longest flute marathon by an individual, by playing for 27 hours, 20 minutes and 50 seconds, without a break. Murali Narayanan broke the official record for the longest flute marathon, set by Katherine Brookes of the United Kingdom in February, 2012. Brooke had played the flute for 25 hours and 48 minutes to achieve the record. While Brookes set the record only in western music, Murali, who started his feat on the morning of January 9, played Carnatic, Hindustani, western and folk music, before concluding at 1155 hrs today.
