Three sentenced to life for rape and murder of married woman in Kaushambi

Kaushambi (UP), Dec 6 (UNI) Three people were on Saturday sentenced to life imprisonment with a fine of Rs 40,000 each by a local court in Kaushambi district in Uttar Pradesh for the rape and murder of a woman, prosecution sources said.
Prosecution sources said the plaintiff filed a complaint at the West Sharira police station on March 26, 2022, stating that his wife had been murdered by unidentified assailants by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. "Police registered a report under Indian Penal Code and initiated an investigation," they said.
Prosecution sources said that based on the evidence found during the investigation, the names of Mustaq Ali, resident of Maulani Ka Purwa, Karari police station, Deepak, resident of Bibhawal, Mau district Chitrakoot, and Bhola alias Devendra, resident of Amina village, West Sharira police station, came to light in connection with the murder.
