Three Romanian nationals arrested in Lucknow for ATM fraud

Lucknow, Mar 6 (UNI) Local police have arrested three Romanian nationals for ATM fraud while two of their accomplices managed to escape,according to police on Wednesday.



A joint team of Hazaratganj, Ashiyana police and Cyber cell arrested Romanian nationals Tanashaforin, Bunus Astin and Maldowin Mirsiya Flodin for ATM frauds while two other members of their gang managed to escape. Arrested accused used to withdraw money after cloning ATMs, sources added.



During interrogation arrested accused told police that they were in India on tourist visa. They used to stay in hotels in New Delhi and target ATMs where security was not placed and manage to clone ATMs of the consumers. They told that mostly they perform their cloning in morning time.



Police said that five passports, ATM card cloning machines, four laptops, some other equipments and 182 cloned ATM cards were recovered from arrested accused. Escaped members of this gang were identified as Boario and Opariya Dorale, police said adding that manhunt was launched to nab them.
