Three minor tribal girls drown in pond in Godda

Godda, Sep 25 (UNI) Three minor tribal girls lost their lives as they were drowned in a pond in Kumardoy village under Meharma Police Station area of this district on Friday.
Police sources said that five children including two boys and three girls had gone to swim in the village pond. The girls while bathing went into deeper waters while the boys were watching from outside. After realising that the girls had drowned, the boys raised an alarm and called fellow villagers and family members. Somehow the girls were pulled out from the water.
However by the time they were taken out, all of them had died. The deceased have been identified as Choti Kumari (11), Nandini Kumari (9) and Asha Kumari (10).
