Chandauli, Jan 22 (UNI) Three people were killed while five others sustained injuries when an SUV overturned into a canal due to fog in the Baluan area of this district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Wednesday.
According to sources, 8 people were proceeding towards their village Prabhupur from Varanasi on Tuesday night.
Due to the intense fog, the driver lost control over the vehicle and the SUV overturned into the Amripur canal near the Kailawar chowki. Om Prakash Tiwari, former Chief Proctor of Khandwari PG College, Bhagalun Singh and Pratap Yadav died as the vehicle drowned.
