Bareilly, Oct 2 (UNI) Three women were killed and four others injured in an explosion in an illegal firecracker factory in Sirauli area of Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
Police sources said that the incident took place in Kalyanpur village. "The intensity of the blast was such that around half a dozen houses in the vicinity collapsed," they said.
The sources said that Tabbasum, Rukhsana and an unidentified woman were killed in the explosion. "Rahman Shah, his wife Chhoti, Fatima and Sitara were injured in the incident," they said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the explosion at a firecracker factory. He expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased.
The CM has directed the district administration officials to immediately send the injured to the hospital and provide them with proper treatment. Along with this, he also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He directed the officials to reach the spot and expedite the relief work.
