Srinagar, Jan 18 (UNI) Three former Chief Ministers and over a dozen other leaders of different mainstream political parties remained under detention in the Kashmir valley, where pre-paid mobile and internet service remained suspended since August 5, when the Centre scrapped Article 370 and divided the state into two Union Territories (UTs).
However, over two dozen former legislators and ministers besides other leaders were released after they reportedly gave undertaking that they will not question withdrawing of special status of the state. Several leaders of different political parties, including National Conference (NC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) after their release met Lt Governor G C Murmu and foreign delegations who visited the valley recently.
There was still no relief for three ex-CMs Dr Farooq Abdullah, his son Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti who remained under detention since August 5.
