Three dead in separate road accidents in UP

Mirzapur, May 23 (UNI) Three people, including a woman and her son were killed in separate road mishaps in this Uttar Pradesh district on Saturday.
Police sources here said Ram Singh, a resident of Pratapgarh, his wife Vibha Singh (45), son Awadhesh (22) and their daughter, were going somewhere in a car. Meanwhile, the car suddenly went out of control and overturned near the Bhaisor Balai Pahad village situated at national highway seven.
Vibha Singh and Awadhesh were killed on the spot in the accident while Ram Singh and his daughter sustained critical injuries. Both of them have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment while the bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
In a separate incident, Ramna Devi (55), a resident of Dagarkeri village in the Lalganj area was hit by a tractor, leading to her on the spot death.
The driver of the tractor has been taken into custody.
The body has been sent for post-mortem.

“With ceaseless toil on part of our dauntless corona warriors and the populace’s support, we have succeeded in bringing the pathogen under control within the state. However, being vigilant and cautious is still imperative. For preventing infection, we shall have to uncompromisingly adhere to the ‘Modi mantra’ of social distancing, utilisation of masks, repeated hand-washing and not spitting in public places. Only then will we vanquish the virus,” the seasoned politician outlined while addressing the people via Doordarshan.
