Agartala, Nov 23 (UNI) The brief session of winter for three days of Tripura assembly began here today amid allegations of large scale violence on opposition against ruling BJP cadres and increasing incidents of criminal activities across the state.
The opposition CPI(M) has announced to seek reply from the chief minister regarding attacks on the party leaders, disrupting political activities of CPI(M), forcefully capturing the elected bodies including three tire Panchayats and capturing party offices with the support of administration.
“There are many issues to discuss in the assembly because the experience of the opposition and the common people of the state over nine months old BJP-IPFT government in Tripura is not good. But the government avoided sittings of the house taking the plea of non-availability of their business, which is not acceptable in today’s context,” said chief whip of the opposition and former minister Tapan Chakraborty.
