Three-day state-Level youth festival begins at HIET Shahpur

Shahpur (Kàngra), Mar 6 (UNI) A three-day state-level Youth Festival began on Friday at the Himachal Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET) in Shahpur under the aegis of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, with Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani inaugurating the event as the chief guest.
Kewal Singh Pathania, MLA from Shahpur and Deputy Chief Whip of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, was also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dharmani said engineering students are usually deeply engaged in academics, but the state government is committed to their holistic development. He said that sports and cultural activities are now being encouraged in technical institutions so that students actively participate in social and creative pursuits alongside their studies.
