Three cops suspended in Samastipur

Samastipur, Sep 12 (UNI) Three policemen including officers-in-charge of two police stations were today suspended with immediate effect on charges of dereliction of their duties in Samastipur district.
Police superintendent Deepak Ranjan said here that Sumit Kumar Singh and Digamber Kumar, officers-in-charge of Pusa police station and Chackmehsi police station respectively besides Mahesh Paswan, a sub-inspector of Mufassil police station were suspended with immediate effect on charges of dereliction of their duties. All of them were found prima facie guilty of not discharging their duties in investigation of the cases allotted to them, he added.
As it is, Mr Ranjan had also suspended Assistant Sub Inspectors B K Jha and Shahabaz Alam one week back for dereliction of their duties in the case of loot of more than Rs 52 lakh from cash van on Tajpur road under Town police station area in Samastipur district.
