Three children die of contagious diseases in Kushinagar

Kushinagar, Oct 19 (UNI) Panic triggered in Sevarhi area when three children died of contagious diseases in past six days.

District magistrate, superintendent of police and health department officials rushed to the spot after receiving information. DM has instructed to maintain proper cleanliness in the area. Team of doctors has even started taking samples and distributing medicines for prevention.

It was reported that one Rajan Mushar's 20-day old daughter died last Monday here just two days after a six-month old baby Abhinandan succumbed to the illness. One another child had died on Friday which raised an alarm.

Senior doctors conducted health checkup of all 110 families in the area and distributed the necessary medicines. Senior officials were looking into the matter and have instructed to provide all necessary assistance.

Tanda College among leading ones to conduct research on tribal health

Kangra, Jul 2 (UNI) Dr Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Kangra at Tanda has been selected among top hospitals of the country to conduct research on "Improving the Capacity of Health System
and Community for Screening and Management of Some Non-Communicable Diseases (hypertension, diabetes and COPD) among Scheduled Tribes: An Implementation Research."
This medical college has been selected as one among six such centres across the country to conduct this research.
