Three arms dealers arrested from Canning with 314 bullets

Kolkata, Jan 23 (UNI) Three arms dealers were today arrested with 314 live ammunition from Canning station in South 24 Parganas district, police said.
Special security forces aided by the local police station laid trap at the Canning railway station on Eastern Railway's Sealdah section following a tip-off and caught the trio while they got down at the station.
They were carrying a bag in which the live bullets were stacked.
Police said the bullets were purchased from Siwan in Bihar. The consignment was on way to Basanti, where factional clashes among Trinamool Congress supporters took place and left two dead, including a 10-year-old boy, and 10 sustained injuries. Police said all the three arms dealers were local residents.
