Thousands March Demanding NRC update Before Census in Manipur

Imphal, June 8 (UNI) Thousands of people took to the streets here today demanding the updation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) before the next census exercise is carried out in the state jointly organised by 14 Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of Kangleipak .
The participants congregated at Tiddim Ground in Imphal West and marched to THAU Ground, covering nearly five kilometres through the city. Security personnel were deployed along the route to maintain law and order during the event. A public meeting was held at THAU Ground upon the conclusion of the march.
The participants included students, youths, internally displaced persons (IDPs), artists, and members of indigenous communities . Protesters carried placards bearing slogans such as "Only updation of NRC can save Manipur," "No NRC, No Census," "Do not neglect Manipur State," and "Until NRC 1951 update, don't conduct census."

Bihar launches live digital classrooms, free JEE-NEET coaching at model schools
