Those who comply with necessary statutory guidelines should be allowed to import fish: Manohar Ajgaonkar

Panaji, Nov 12 (UNI) While Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has been maintaining that he was firm on imposing a ban on import of fish into the state, his cabinet colleauge Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar on Monday said that those who comply with necessary statutory guidelines should be allowed to import fish.
In a tweet, Mr Ajgaonkar said,''Government decisions should not affect economy. This is peak tourism season in God’s Own Abode #GOA. Those who comply with necessary statutory guidelines should be allowed to import fish. Request Health Minister @visrane to act accordingly. @TourismGoa.''
Mr Rane had said on Sunday that decision to ban fish import was firm and the ban was enforced for six months.
