Those on bail opposing BJP's 'Main Bhi Chowkidar' campaign: Prasad

New Delhi, Mar 19 (UNI) The BJP on Tuesday claimed that the party's hyped and newly launched
'Main Bhi Chowkidar (I am also Chowkidar)' campaign has been immensely successful and it has irked only those who are on bail and those who are 'opposing it'.
"Those who are on bail are opposing it. Those whose family and their properties are under investigation are opposing it.....Those who have a lot to hide are opposing it," BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters here.
Ridiculing opposition charge against the campaign, he said - if the opposition parties had nothing to hide, they should also join the campaign.
"Main Bhi Chowkidar hoon aaj ek jan andolan ban gaya hae (I am also a custodian of this country has caught people's imagination and has virtually turned into a people's movement)," Mr Prasad said adding professionals including medicos, students, women and sanitation workers have come forward endorsing the campaign.
In a tweet that virtually stunned the nation, Mr Modi on Saturday said - "Aap ka Chowkidar Chaukanna hae....Your Chowkidar is standing firm and serving the nation. I am not alone. Everyone who is fighting corruption, dirt, social evils is a Chowkidar. Everyone working hard for the progress of India is a Chowkidar. Today, every Indian is saying - #MainBhiChowkidar."
Joining issue with Congress leaders, he said some people are also saying that only rich needs Chowkidar - a guard.
Dismissing the strength of such an argument, the Union Minister said - "There was corruption of Rs 12,000 crore during Congress regime ....poor people of the country was looted, so who needs a guard (Chowkidar)".
