Thief beaten to death in Bihar

Darbhanga, Aug 14 (UNI) An unidentified youth who was caught while stealing valuables from a house was beaten to death at Mishraulia village under Sadar police station area in the district today.

Police said here that the youth was caught by villagers after he and his other associates were trying to escape when the family members of one Sakaldeep Yadav raised an alarm after their sleep was broken during their theft bid. Sources said the youth was beaten with wooden sticks leaving him with serious injuries.
Later, police rushed the youth to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital where he died during treatment. The body had been kept under full vigil after the autopsy.

Darbhanga senior police superintendent Babu Ram said that the action would be taken against the accused as per the Supreme Court`s guidelines even as the state police headquarters also directed to take stern action against the guilty people by registering a named FIR.
