Thick clouds hovering over high reaches of HP, IMD forecast fresh round of Snowfall

Shimla, Jan 11(UNI) Thick clouds are hovering over high reaches of Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and Chamba district and snowfall may occur in the state in next 24 hrs.
Indian Meteorological department said that light to Moderate snowfall likely at few places in the districts of Lahaul- Spiti and Kinnaur and over higher reaches of Chamba, Kullu, Kangra.
Light to Moderate rainfall likely at few places in the district of Mandi. There is possibility of rain likely at isolated places in the districts of Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Shimla, Solan. In Kangra and Sirmour district no significant change would take place in the present weather in the state in next 24 hrs.
Report arriving from Manali and Keylong it is already packed for the major spell of rain and snowfall as dark clouds were in the sky. Till North Portal of Atal Tunnel road was through till report being written.
According to District administration Lahaul Spiti Darcha to Shirnkula roads towards Kargil and closed Darcha to Sarchu National Highway -3 towards Leh were closed and snowbound however samd road from Keylong to Darcha was opened but cloudy. Manali to ATR South portal and ATR North Portal to Keylong road was opened however Tourists and travellers are allowed in the region with four by four and along chained wheeled vehicles.
Koksar to Lossar via Kunzum Pass road was snowbound and Tandi-udaipur and Udaip5to Tindi Nullah raod was opened . On NH- 505 Kaza to Lossar and Sumdo to Kaza road was opened but cloudy.
Minimum temperatures of in the state was above normal as tourist resort Manali was at minus 0.9 degrees, Kalpa at zero degrees, Shimla six, Bhuntar airport 1.6, Dharamshala 4.5, Una 4.4, Nahan 7, Kangra 5.4, Mandi 5.2 Bilaspur 7.9, Hamirpur 6.2 and Dalhousie 4 degrees respectively.
