There is "international support" to demand for UN ban on Masood Azhar, India tells China

Beijing, Feb 22 (UNI) India today yet again urged China to back it with regard implementing the 1267 Committee UN sanctions on Pakistan-based terrorist Masood Azhar and asserted that there was "broad international support" for this and also global concerns about Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief 's activities.
"On the issue of the 1267 Committee sanctions on Masood Azhar, we again explained to them (Chinese authorities) the rationale for that application and pointed out today that this was really being pursued by other countries, not by India alone," Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar told reporters at the end of the first India-China Strategic Dialogue.
"The fact that other countries were pressing this application showed that there was broad international support for this (actions against Azhar) and concerns about Masood Azhar’s activities," he said after the restructured strategic dialogue with his Chinese counterpart Zhang Yesui, who is the Executive Vice Minister in the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
