Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 17 (UNI) Theoretical physicist and cosmologist Prof Thanu Padmanabhan, who has been selected for the 'Kerala Sasthrapuraskaram-2021' recently, died of a massive heart attack in Pune on Friday.
He was married to Vasanthi Padmanabhan, who has a PhD in Astrophysics from TIFR, Mumbai, and has one daughter, Hamsa Padmanabhan, who has a PhD in Astrophysics from IUCAA, Pune.
The 64-year-old Malayali physicist was a distinguished Professor at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) in Pune, sources said.
