The Coalition government has failed to address Drought situation: Yeddyurappa

Yadgir, Aug 10 (UNI) Opposition leader in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly and BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa on Friday alleged that the JDS-Congress coalition government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has failed to address Drought situation in 13 Districts of the State and farmers were allowed to suffer.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that according to statistics by the State government there is shortage of rainfall in 13 districts, including in most backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region. "But till date no Minister have taken time to visit the affected Districts and no steps were taken by the State government to solve the problems faced by the farmers and common people."
Mr Yeddyurappa alleged that all development works have come to standstill after the coalition government came to power.
Underlining that separate statehood for North Karnataka is not the solution, Mr Yeddyurappa said that the Chief Minister should correct himself and address the problems faced by the people of North Karnataka and he should not concentrate only on his home district Hassan.
