Thane: Dilapidated building's portion collapses amid heavy rains; No casualty reported

Thane, Aug 5 (UNI) A portion of a dilapidated building collapsed in Mira Bhayander suburb as incessant rains continue to lash this district for third consecutive day, informed civic authorities on Thursday.
No casualty occurred in the mishap as the 35-year-old building was declared dangerous and vacated in March, they added.
Talking to UNI, Mira Bhayander civic body Fire Officer Alpesh Sankhe stated that the incident happened on late Wednesday night. Subsequently, a team, comprising of firemen and Disaster Cell personnel, were dispatched to the spot.
