Thane: COVID-19 fatality count crosses 4k mark, caseload over 1.50 lakh

Thane, Sep 17 (UNI) In the past 24 hours, Thane district crossed the 4,000-mark in terms of fatality count while the total caseload surged beyond 1.50 lakh, stated a district official on Thursday.
A total of 26 patients succumbed to the COVID-19 while 1,796 new cases were detected across Thane on Wednesday, pushing the pandemic tally to 1,51,236.
Of the new cases, the highest 537 were reported from the limits of the Kalyan Dombivli civic body followed by Navi Mumbai (375) and Thane city (364), the official apprised.
