The under-construction Lucky Compound building located near Shil Phata in Mumbra of the district collapsed on April four, 2013, leaving 74 people dead and 60 others injured crash occurred on April four, 2013, in which 74 persons lost their lives and more than 60 were injured. Judge V V Bambarde charged the 27 accused including Thane Municipal Corporation officials and personnel, contractors, builders, middlemen, policemen and corporators.
