Thane bookie gets police custody

Mumbai, Mar 21 (UNI) A Mumbai Special Court here on Tuesday remanded bookie from Ulhasnagar in Thane, Anil Jaisinghani and his cousin Nirmal Jaisinghani, into police custody till March 27.

The bookie’s daughter and a fashionista Aniksha, who was arrested earlier, was produced after her police remand ended, before the Additional Sessions Judge D. D. Almale and she has been sent to police custody till Friday, March 24.

Kolhapur, Jun 7 (UNI) As the 'Kolhapur bandh' called by Hindutvawadi Sanghatanas to protest against an alleged objectionable status on mobile phones of some members of a community turned violent on Wednesday, the Home department of the Maharashtra government issued an order to suspend of all types of internet services and SMS service from 1700 hours to 0000 hours of tomorrow (Thursday) midnight to avoid any untoward incident and to maintain law and order situation in the city.
