Terming ‘Demonetisation 2.0’, Rahul criticises Govt for ‘destroying economy’

New Delhi, Jun 6 (UNI) Accusing the Union government of destroying the country's economy by not giving cash assistance to the people and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and termed it as ‘demonetisation 2.0.

“Government is actively destroying our economy by refusing to give cash support to people and MSMEs. This is Demon 2.0”, Mr Gandhi tweeted.
Indicating the country's economy, the Congress leader also shared a news report, titled “Addressing pre-Covid issues to be crucial for India’s recovery”, which said “Indian economy was likely facing a demand-driven, perhaps even structural slowdown before the pandemic”.
Earlier too, Mr Gandhi had demanded to provide cash assistance for people who are struggling due to COVID-19 and subsequent lockdown and MSMEs.
The Congress president Sonia Gandhi too also urged the government to give Rs 7,500 cash to the vulnerable sections for six months.
