Tension grips Tripura over suicide of courier boy

Agartala, Dec 17 (UNI) Northern town of Tripura, Dharmanagar, along the Assam border, has been gripped by intense tension for two days following the suicide of a courier boy, allegedly after being humiliated and badly assaulted by a group of youths led by a lady teacher of a private school in public.
The people stormed the street, cutting across party affiliation, demanding action against the perpetrators who induced him to commit suicide. However, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha today asserted that an investigation has been launched and nobody will be spared if anyone is found guilty.
He urged the citizens to maintain peace and tranquillity to help the administration with a proper inquiry into the unnatural death of Prasenjit Sarkar (23), a resident of the Kameshwar area of Dharmanagar, a delivery worker employed with a private company.
