Ten years jail term for two in Visakhapatnam fake currency case

New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) The Vijayawada Special Court for National Investigation Agency’s cases on Wednesday convicted two accused in Vijayawada Fake Indian Currency Note (FICN) case for 10 years rigorous imprisonment under different sections along with monetary fine, probe agency officials said.

The accused Md Mahaboob Baig alias Azhar Baig and Syed Imran have been sentenced 10 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs 10,000 under section 489B of IPC, 7 years’ rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs10,000 under section 489C of IPC and 3 years rigorous imprisonment with fine of Rs 10,000 under section 120B of IPC.
