Ten workers of a cake factory taken ill following gas leakage from oven

Kolkata, Dec 26 (UNI) About 10 workers were today taken ill following gas leakage in a cake factory at Narendrapur in South 24 Parganas district, police investigating the incident said.
All the 10 workers have been admitted to a local nursing home after fallen sick from being suffocated and vomiting. The incident happened when the workers, after having holiday on account of X-Mass on Tuesday, entered into the factory began to coughing and vomiting as some of them nearly fell unconscious, eye witnesses said. The factory, Dream Baker Pvt Ltd. at Narednrapur was closed yesterday.
Fire brigade and police began investigation to ascertain the fact of gas leakage of the factory.

Shillong, Feb 22 (UNI) Tension along the Meghalaya-Assam border escalated after Assam Police detained two tribal Khasi youths on Friday evening, sources said on Saturday. Alningstar Snaitang and Bibarius Marwein, were detainee by the Assam Police personnel from Boko area, police sources said.
“We don’t know what is the exact cause for their detention,” a Meghalaya police official said.
