Ten million face acute food shortage in Yemen: UN

Geneva, Jul 11 (UNI) The United Nation’s World Food Program (WFP) has warned that nearly 10 million people are facing acute food shortages in Yemen and famine would be inevitable if urgent action is not taken.
The WFP statement said it needs about USD 737million to keep its aid program running till the end of the year in Yemen. The UN has already said that the war torn country is gripped in world's worst humanitarian crisis.
WFP spokeswoman Elisabeth Byrs told a virtual briefing in Geneva that the humanitarian situation is deteriorating at an alarming pace
