Telugu must in T-schools, colleges from next academic year

Hyderabad, Nov 16 (UNI) The State government has decided to make Telugu language mandatory in all the schools and colleges in the State from 2018-19, said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari said here on Thursday.

Replying to a question raised by members in the Legislative Council during Question Hour, Srihari, who holds the education portfolio, said the department has constituted a steering committee under the Chairmanship of Telugu University Vice-chancellor SV Satyanaraya to submit a report for implementation of Telugu language in all schools and junior colleges from the next academic year.
