Telangana urges Centre to set up Green Steel Plant in Bayyaram

Hyderabad/New Delhi, Apr 18 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday urged the union Government to establish a greenfield steel plant in Bayyaram, highlighting its potential to boost industrial growth and address environmental concerns.
The Chief Minister met union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries H. D. Kumaraswamy and Minister of State for Steel Bhupathi Srinivasa Varma in New Delhi and discussed multiple proposals related to industrial development in Telangana.
Revanth emphasised the need for a “Green Steel Plant” in Bayyaram, stating it would help bridge steel shortages while promoting environmentally sustainable industrial practices.
