Telangana to Launch 'Indiramma Kutumba Bheema' Insurance Scheme for 1.15 Crore Families: Dy CM Bhatti

Hyderabad, June 9 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Tuesday announced that the State Government would soon launch the "Indiramma Kutumba Bheema" scheme, providing insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh to 1.15 crore families irrespective of caste or religion.
The insurance cover would provide financial assistance in the event of accidental death and other tragedies, Bhatti said while addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation stone for power infrastructure development works worth ₹11 crore in Bhongir.
Highlighting the Congress government's welfare agenda, the Deputy Chief Minister said the administration was continuing to implement programmes under the "Indiramma Rajyam" framework despite carrying a debt burden of ₹8 lakh crore inherited from previous governments and spending ₹76,000 crore annually on debt servicing.
