Telangana student bags 3 gold, 2 silver medals in CBSE National Gymnastics

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Telangana student Akshiti Mishra, has bagged 5 medals including 3 Gold medals in the just concluded CBSE Nationals Gymnastics competition held at Uttar Pradesh.
She won a Gold medal for her all-round performance with 36.95 points in the CBSE National Gymnastics championship organized by CBSE Boardin Prayaagraj, Uttar Pradesh at Khel Gaaon Public school from November 7 to 10.
Students of CBSE from all over India have participated in this competition.
CBSE Gymnastics competition in Junior category was held on first day of the competition while the medals were awarded for 4 disciplines -- Balancing Beam, Floor Exercise, Table Vault and Uneven Bars.
Akshiti Mishra, a 9th grade student, from Oakridge International School won Gold medal in balancing beam discipline whereas Meghanshi and Komal won silver and Bronze respectively.
In Floor exercise , Akshiti Mishra won Gold with Komal and Snigdha winning silver and Bronze respectively.
In table Vault discipline, Akshiti Mishra of Telangana came 2nd and got silver behind Komal Rajat who got Gold and Snigdha won Bronze medal.
Similarly, in Uneven Bars discipline, Akshiti Mishra won Silver and came second with Komal winning Gold and Gauri Bronze.
