Telangana Sona Rice can augur well in building a healthier India: Janardhan Reddy

Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) Dr B Janardhan Reddy, APC and Secretary Department of Agriculture, Government of Telangana has said that Telangana Sona Rice can augur well in building a healthier India and can address lifestyle issues like diabetes.

Speaking at the online panel discussion on ‘Agricultural Innovations and Consumer Markets: Benefits and Challenges for Telangana Sona Rice’, organised by the Indian School of Business (ISB) on Thursday, Dr Reddy said Telangana Sona had a low glycemic index (GI), which is good for rice eaters. This new rice variety can become a new and a healthy food preference.
