Telangana: Several BRS leaders arrested

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Several leaders from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) were either placed under house arrest or arrested at various places ahead of Chief Minister A Revanth Rddy’s Musi River Rejuvenation Sankalp Padayatra in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Friday.
On the occasion of his birth day, Revanth Reddy after offering prayers along with his family members at the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha swamy temple in Yadadri, kicked off Musi River Rejuvenation Sankalp Padayatra in the evening, covering around 2.5 kilometres from Sangam in Valigonda Mandal to Bhimalingam in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, highlighting the urgency of restoring the heavily polluted Musi River.
Anticipating protests from the main opposition BRS leaders over the CM’s padayatra, the police placed under house arrest of former BRS MLA from Munugode, Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, at his residence in Hyderabad.
