Telangana sees highest death tool (7) in 24-hours, positive cases crosses 3,000-mark

Hyderabad, Jun 3 (UNI) Telangana on Wednesday reported seven deaths within a span of 24-hours, the highest single-day jump so far in the state.
With this, the total death toll in Telangana now stands at 99, the state Medical and Health department said in its bulletin here on Wednesday night.
Apart from the deaths, the state reported 129 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday including the lion share of 127 +ve cases reported from Grater Hyderabad, six each from Ranga Reddy and Asifabad districts, two each from Medchal and Siricilla and one each from Ydadri, Kamareddy and Mahabubnagar (2 migrants).
The caseload reached 3,020 in the state while 1556 patients were recovered from the virus and 1365 are active cases undergoing treatment at the designated hospitals so far.
With the 2 fresh migrant workers tested positive on Wednesday, 206 migrants and 212 deportees have tested positive for Covid-9 and are being treated so far in the state.
The government of India has airlifted 458 deportees and these deportees have been quarantined in government quarantine centers in the state.
Large number of migrants are returning from various other states of the country. These migrants are being home quarantined and monitored by the district authorities. Majority of the migrants are arriving from Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Bihar.
